Who we are

We are young Moroccans united by a common concern: the effects of climate change on our country. As engineers, economists, agronomists and lawyers, we wish to contribute our skills and knowledge to raise awareness among Moroccan citizens of the concrete impact of global warming on Morocco, and of the solutions that are or can be implemented to protect our country.

Our missions

We synthesize and share information on the challenges of climate change and its effects in Morocco, via multiple channels.

Our mission is twofold, as we aim to inform and educate Moroccan citizens on the subject, as well as providing keys to understanding and highlighting levers for action for public decision-makers and relevant players in society.

To this end, we publish short articles to help improve understanding of this issue, including explanations of climate science, impact analysis and discussions of possible policy responses.

Our values

Through our missions, we give importance to :

  • the role of transdisciplinarity as a scientific and intellectual approach to understanding complexity
  • ecology, which brings together both scientific findings and proposals for action that provide a basis for political decision-making. Understanding it involves grasping a complexity characterized by feedbacks, a tangle of players and synergies and antagonisms between different human development issues.

Our actions

In order to carry out our mission, we carry out the following actions:

  • inform and raise awareness of climate change issues in Morocco through various information platforms
  • work to propose solutions to curb the effects of global warming in Morocco
  • collaborate with and support Moroccan civil society players working in fields related to Nechfate's statutory purpose
  • to act as a source of proposals for public decision-makers and decision-making bodies, whether Moroccan or not, with the aim of raising awareness and combating the effects of global warming on Moroccan territory.
